From hotel, go directly to Wat Traimit, famous for its golden Buddha image made from 5.5 tons of pure gold. Afterwards, across the bustling streets of Chinatown to Wat Po, with its stately Reclining Buddha image some 46 meters in length. This is also the location of the famous Thai traditional massage school. The tour ends with a visit to Wat Benchambopit (Marble Temple) built entirely of white Carrara marble.

From the hotel, you arrive at the pier on the Chao Phraya River and board a typical long-tail boat for an exciting cruise along the "River of Kings" to explore the side klongs (canals) and to observe everyday lifestyle of the people living alongside the river in houses on stilts. After leaving your hotel for the pier on the Chao Phraya River, you will board a typical boat for an exciting cruise along Bangkok's busiest waterway and adjacent klongs (canals), a very unusual sight of the Thai Capital City. The Chao Phraya Princess takes you to cruise along the River of Kings, you can sight the star-lit Chao Phraya River at night, alongside the architecture of historical temples on the river banks. 19:00 Check-in at the River City Pier, River City Complex, next to Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel and board the Chao Phraya Princess, a luxurious cruiser fully equipped with modern facilities and can accommodate up to 300 people. Upon your first step on the Chao Phraya Princess, you will discover the wonder of the splendor of both oriental and occidental art decors on the boat.

19:30 Depart River City Shopping Complex and cruise for a beautiful night scenery on both side of the Chao Phraya River. Afterwards, visit Bang Pa-In a complex of buildings and pavilions once used by the kings of Thailand as their summer palace. Many architectural styles, including Thai, Chinese, Italian and English Victorian are fused together within beautiful gardens and ponds. From here you board the boat River Sun for an interesting cruise down the Chao Phraya River to observe the lifestyles of Thai people living on the banks. BKK18 RIVER KWAI TOUR

The tour starts with an early morning departure from Bangkok heading directly westwards to Kanchanaburi Province, famous for its bridge over the river Kwai, some 150-km from Bangkok. On the way, visit Prasart Muang Singh (the Lion City), a laterite Khmer-style temple marked as the westernmost point of expansion of the Khmer Empire. Afterwards, proceed directly to Sai-Yok Elephant Camp where you can enjoy the elephant-at-work show, 30 minutes of elephant ride and experience 30 minutes bamboo rafting. After having lunch at a local restaurant near Tam-Kra-Sae train station, take a train along the Death Railway route to the River Kwai Bridge, built by Allied prisoners of war and Asian laborers. Upon arrival at the bridge, enjoy your free time with spectacular view in the area. Then, continue your journey with a long-tail boat, cruising along the river Kwai heading for the JEATH War Museum. After that, end the trip and return to the hotel.

 

BKK19 PATTAYA AND CORAL ISLAND FROM BANGKOK

Leave early morning for the famous seaside resort of Pattaya some 135-km from Bangkok on the Gulf of Thailand to catch a boat to Kho Larn (Coral Island). From this glass-bottomed boat, you can observe the reefs surrounding the island teeming with coral and marine life. You can step onto one of the white sandy beaches for a swim or to relax before enjoying fresh seafood at a local restaurant. In the late afternoon you return by boat and minibus to Bangkok where you arrive around 1800.

 

BKK THE CROCODILE FARM

From your hotel you head towards Samut Prakan around 25-km southeast of Bangkok to the world's largest crocodile farm with over 60,000 crocodiles, alligators and caimans. Established in 1950 to save endangered species of animals, this farm is one of the largest suppliers to the leather industry. Other endangered or rare species can be observed here such as tigers, snakes, elephant, monkeys, gibbons and turtles. During the day animals shows take place with young men and boys performing with crocodiles in an open enclosure.

A national sport of Thailand, Muay Thai (Thai boxing) uniquely allows opponents to use elbows, knees and feet during a fight which is preceded by a ritual dance to respect the Lord Buddha and their teachers with a prayer for protection and victory.
