Bang Pa In – Ayuthaya – Pitsanuloke – Sukhothai – Sri Satchanalai – Ching Mai  – Chiang Dao – Tha Ton – Chiang Rai – Maesai – Golden Triangle

Day 1 – BANGKOK – BANG PA IN – AYUTHYA – PITSANULOKE

Depart from Bangkok for Bang Pa-in or the Summer Palace which is 53 kilometers away from Bangkok to visit and experience the grandeur of the past.  Then proceed to see the ruins of Ayuthaya, the old capital of Thailand.  Lunch at Krungsri River Hotel.  After Lunch continue the journey to Pitsanuloke which is approx, 300 Km. check-in at Topland Hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 2 – PITSANULOKE – SUKHOTHAI – SRI SATCHANALAI – LAMPANG

American breakfast at hotel and at 07:30 Hours departure to visit Wat Phra Sri Mahathat, a famous temple in Pitsanuloke.  We then continue to Sukhothai to visit Museum, Historical Park and Wat Sri Chum.  We stop at a local Restaurant for lunch.  After lunch visit Sri Satchanalai which is 80 Km from Sukhothai and then proceed directly to Lampang which is another 187 Km arrival Lampang check in at Wiengthong Hotel.  Dinner at hotel and accommodation

Day 3 – LAMPANG – CHIANG MAI

American breakfast at the hotel check out and Sight-seeing Lampang town and some temples.  Then continue to Chiang Mai on the way visit the White Karen hill tribe village at Ban Thakad and the beautiful Haripoonchai Temple in Lampoon.  Stop for lunch at a local restaurant.  Arrival Chiang Mai in the afternoon check-in at Rydges Amora Tapae Chiangmai Hotel and time at your leisure, dinner and over night at the hotel.

Day 4 – CHIANG MAI

American breakfast at hotel and departure from your hotel to the mount Doi Suthep (1676 m.) where we will visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep built in 1383 during the reign of the King “Kue-Na”. From the top of Doi Suthep we will enjoy a beautiful view of Chiang Mai. Then we will visit Wat Suan Dok and Wat Phra Singh.  Lunch at a local restaurant.  After lunch proceed to Sankampaeng for a Home Industries Tour a real shopping paradise, with the best bargains from handicrafts to silver ornaments to clothes.

In the evening depart from your hotel at 19.00 hours for “Kantoke Dinner”.  A Northern style dinner with a typical hill tribe show.  Return to the hotel and overnight.

Day 5 –  CHIANG MAI – CHIANG DAO – THA TON – CHIANG RAI

American breakfast hotel, check out and leave your hotel at 07.00 hour to visit an orchid nursery farm then Elephant Training Camp at Chiang Dao, where we will observe the elephants at work in the forest and other interesting exercises.  We will also enjoy an hour elephant ride in the jungle.  Then continue to Baan Tha Ton. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant by the Maekok River.  Experience the river of lives of local people by taking a boat trip on the Maekok River about one and a half-hour from Baan Tha Ton to Baan Pa Tai.  Continue the journey by minibus or mini truck to Chiang Rai.  Rest your eyes on the lush, green scenic along the road to the northernmost province of Thailand; a stop for visit Baan Ya-Pa (Three Hill Tribes Villages) where we will see Akha, Lahu Shi Balah, and Padong Long Neck Karen. Arrive Chiang Rai in the evening, check-in at Dusit Island Resort or similar. Dinner and overnight

Day 6 –  CHIANG RAI – GOLDEN TRIANGLE – CHIANG SAEN –  MAESAI – BANGKOK

American breakfast at hotel, check out and departure at 07.00 hours for visit to the Golden Triangle on the bank of the Mekong River where we can observe the natural borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos.  Continue to Chiang Saen, a small village set amongst ruins, was the home of King Mengrai, founder of the Kingdom of Lanna.  The remaining earthen ramparts are a mere fraction of the city’s original walls.  Breif visit to the archaeological excavations and temples of Chiang Saen.  After that return to Maesai, a market village at the border with Myanmar.  At Maesai will take an hour break for those who want to have lunch and shopping. (Lunch is not included in the program).  Then transfer to Chiang Rai airport in time to board your flight to Bangkok suggested flight TG.141 ETD. 15.50.
