Day 1 – BANGKOK – KANCHANABURI – LAVA CAVE – RIVER KWAI Departure at 7.00 hours from the hotel proceed directly to Kanchanaburi province. Kanchanaburi is famous for the horror completed by the Japanese soldiers during the World War II towards The Allied prisoners when they tried to complete a rail link between Burma and Thailand. We will visit the Death Railway’s War Museum (JEATH Museum) and the main cemetery (Donrak) containing the remains of the Allied prisoners of war who perished during the construction of the Death Railway. Continue to visit the world’s famous Bridge on the River Kwai. As depicted in the movie and a part of the “Death Railway”, the historic black iron bridge was the target of allied bombing during 1945. Take a train ride along part of the “Death Railway” to Nam-Tok station, the last existing train station of the Thailand–Burma railway in Thailand, passing the dangerous looking wooden viaduct built along the mountain. Arrive Nam-Tok station. Transfer to River Kwai Village Hotel. Check in, and then lunch at Jungle view restaurant. Afternoon we take a long tailed boat trip upstream along the Kwai Noi River. Climb up to the Kaeng Lava Cave for an interesting visit of the fantastic stone formations. Back to your hotel by boat. Dinner at Hotel and overnight. Day 2 – RIVER KWAI – HELLFIRE PASS – ELEPHANT TOUR – KANCHANABURI - BANGKOK American breakfast at the hotel and at 08.00 hours Depart your hotel to visit Hellfire Pass Memorial and a cutting mountain for a railway track which was done by hands of the Allied prisoners. Then continue to Elephant camp by bamboo rafting along a ruching stream of Kwai Noi river. Arrive the Elephant Camp for an exciting elephant back-riding through a jungle. Picnic lunch will be provided After that return to the hotel for Check out and return to Bangkok arriving in the evening.
